Language service provider Gemino hosts TILP seminar in Munich

The export of software and other products often requires localisation – that is, a comprehensive adaptation for other languages and cultures. To qualify to provide such a language service, translators and localisation experts can obtain the internationally recognised certification as a CLP (Certified Localisation Professional).

This qualification standard is part of the training programme offered by the non-profit academy TILP (The Institute of Localisation Professionals). For its current CLP seminar in Munich, TILP is meeting on the premises of the translation service provider Gemino. The seminar is taking place 5-8 October 2010 at Gemino’s offices located at Theresienstraße 73 and will end with an exam.

“We are very pleased that the current CLP seminar is taking place in our Munich offices,” says Christian Schwendy, owner and managing director of Gemino, “because the certificate will set additional standards for the quality of localisation services. Those who have completed the CLP programme place great value on sophisticated and efficient processes that save time and money in the area of localisation.”

With offices in Munich and Berlin, Gemino GmbH supports businesses in positioning their products and services in new markets. The company offers translations in more than 30 languages and works closely with over 300 experienced translation partners around the world. A team of 30 employees provides consulting services to businesses from almost all sectors.
