Welcome to Gemino’s information page for freelance translators, proofreaders and translation agencies!

Thank you for your interest in partnering with Gemino on a freelance basis. Gemino has been providing professional services in the areas of localisation, translation and proofreading for over 15 years. As we are regularly acquiring new clients, we are always on the lookout for dedicated, reliable partners to support us in the production of top-quality translations and in the subsequent quality check.

We are constantly striving to optimise and simplify our processes, including our application process for freelancers and agencies. That is why we would like you to register using our online application system. Once you have successfully registered, you will be guided through the application process. You can stop and save your information at any time and then continue the process at a later point in time. Please answer all questions as thoroughly as possible to ensure that we have all the information we need for partnering with you.

The online application system reduces our administrative workload by collecting important details in a single location – though it by no means replaces our personal contact with applicants. We are happy to provide personal support with any questions you may have concerning your application, the online application system or partnering with Gemino. For assistance, please contact Annika Wolf (Vendor Management).

A guide to applying to Gemino:

The first step is to register in our online application system. You can register as a freelance translator/proofreader (individual) or as an agency (on behalf of a company). Please enter your contact details in the registration form. Once your account has been created, you will receive an email with a link to activate your account (this could take up to 24 hours). Please click on the link in the email to activate your account.

During the course of your online application you will also be asked to complete linguistic and technical tests (steps 3, 4 and 5). The technical tests are optional and their results will not determine whether or not your application is accepted; they will, however, help us to gauge your familiarity with technical texts and your experience in working with translation memory tools. The results of the linguistic tests are the most important criteria for us in selecting our language partners. We will contact you as soon as your test results are available.

We look forward to welcoming you to our team!
