Multiple translators, one memory: translation memory technology.
Gemino’s translators specialise in computer-aided translation (CAT). They use the latest TM technology, allowing them to carry out top-quality translations on time and on budget.
TMs are translation storage units for archiving translated content. The process works with the help of software tools that enable a translator to reuse content that has been translated once before. This special software saves translated texts and units of meaning in the appropriate TMs. The system then recognises segments that have been previously translated and can automatically complete the segment as needed.
In this way, TMs facilitate the rapid editing, proofreading or updating of content from all types of media, thus shortening the translation process if multiple translators are translating at the same time.
The TM server products Gemino is using include, among others, memoQ Server and Across Language Server.
